CM, Governor condole death of Lata Mangeshkar, two-day state mourning in Jharkhand 

Ranchi, Feb 6:  Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has expressed deep condolences on the demise of Bharat Ratna Swar Kokila Lata Mangeshkar. 
Terming it as an irreparable loss to the country, Hemant Soren said that even though Lata ji is not among us, but her voice will always rule our heart. 
“I am saddened by the death of Lata ji. This is an irreparable loss to the country and the countrymen. Everyone’s eyes are moist today. She had lent her melodious voice to about thirty thousand songs in different languages. Her voice was her identity. Today, due to his not being among us, a caravan of notes has come to a standstill. But, she will always rule in our hearts with her voice. Even though Lata ji is no more in this world, her songs will always remind her. May God place the departed virtuous soul at his feet and give strength to his numerous admirers to bear the loss.

Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais has expressed deep sorrow and condolence on the passing away of Swara Kokila Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar. He said that Lata ji had established an indelible identity in the whole world with her singing. Her incomparable contribution to Indian music will always be remembered. The passing of ardent patriot and inspirational personality Lata ji is an irreparable loss for the entire countrymen and the art world. The Governor said that the music lovers all over the world are sad today. Her melodious voice will always resonate among us. 
Meanwhile, Jharkhand government will also observe two-day state mourning on the death of the legendary singer. 

Following instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India the Cabinet Secretariat and coordination department of Jharkhand has informed that due to death of Lata Mangeshkar it has been decided by the Government of India to observe two-day state mourning from 06 February 2022 to 07 February 2022.

On the said date, all the buildings of Jharkhand state where the national flag is hoisted regularly, the national flag will remain half-masted and no state function will be organized.
