Jamshedpur: District BJP president Dinesh Kumar on Friday gave a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to Vaibhav Prakash Pandey, the grandson of former MLA Dinanath Pandey, as an aid to pursue higher studies in the USA.
The cheque was given to Vaibhay, a former student of Hill Top School, Telco, on behalf of Chief Minister Raghubar Das. Kumar met the former MLA at his residence and felicitated his grandson for having secured a scholarship in a prestigious university in the US. Vaibhav said he would be leaving for the US in August this year.
Many other dignitaries were present on the occasion. They included Ram Prakash Pandey, Ankit Anand, Sriram Prasad, Gautam Das and Satyaprakash Singh.
