IWC Jamshedpur plants 110 saplings over 3 days

Jamshedpur: Inner Wheel Club (IWC) of Jamshedpur launched tree plantation drive on 11th July at Bal Kalyan Vidya Mandir. At the venue 20 saplings (10 each of medicine and fruits) were planted by the members of the club.

Past President of the club educated the children of school on the importance of planting more trees. The members supported a underprivileged farmer and his family by planting fifty banana saplings at Lupungdih Village on 720 sq.ft. area.

This will help the farmer to earn his livelihood and also set an example for other farmers in developing their land to generate income.

On day 2 of the drive on 12th July, 20 saplings (fruits, medicinal and decorative) were planted at Zoological Park.

The fruits of these plants will attract birds and animals. The director, curator and zoologist helped the members in the drive.

On 13th July, tree plantation drive continued at Rain Basera Co-operation Society, Adityapur where 20 fruit saplings including 1 Ashoka tree were planted.

Altogether 110 saplings were planted by the club at different locations. On the occasion President Shweta Chand, Pasam Adesara, Alokananda Bakshi, Pushpinder, Nalini Rammurthy, Prerna, Mamta Trehan, Manju Singh, Sarika, Neena Jain along with the members Sudha Sabbarwal, Vandana Sinha, Preeti Goyal, Anita Kumari, Indu Bhamri, Rekha Jayswal, Renu Jaiswal, Ranjeeta, Archana Shekhar, Jyoti Bhagat, Vinita Shah, Raksha Makati were present.
