Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das expressed grief over the death of eight passengers in a road accident in West Singhbhum on Wednesday.
He announced a compensation of Rs 1 lakh for the next of kin of each deceased passenger and Rs 20,000 for the injured persons.
He directed the district administration authorities in West Singhbhum and East Singhbhum to ensure proper treatment of the injured accident victims.
He also directed the victims to be taken to Tata Main Hospital for saving their lives.
