Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren attended the inaugural session of the golden jubilee ceremony and the special general body meeting of All India Punjab National Bank Officers Association on Sunday.
On this occasion, the CM handed aid materials to the inmates of New Hopes Children�s Home, Education and Welfare Society of Mary and Porha Adivasi Bal Vikas Vidyalaya, Murma.
The managers of these institutions were felicitated by Soren as he presented them with shawls to acknowledge the good work being done by them.
In his address, the CM said the banks should make it a point to make sure that they reach out to the people living in remote rural areas.
He said the banks should make every possible effort to help the villagers and opportunities of benefit. Soren said it was the aim of the state government to provide every possible assistance to the poor people of the state.
He said the banks should make sure that they help villagers, especially farmers and needy students get loans easily and without much hassle.
