Ranchi, Nov. 12: Chief Minister Raghubar Das called on former Jharkhand CM and JMM supremo Sibu Soren at latter’s residence on Saturday to invite him to attend state’s foundation day anniversary celebrations in the capital.
During the conversation, Soren requested the CM to abolish Mahajani system in villages. The CM told Soren he was going to table a proposal in this regard in the Assembly.
He said the abolition was in the state government’s agenda.
While discussing CNT and SPT laws amendment issue with Soren, the CM said that the central idea of the rules has not been altered during their simplification.
The raiyats will be the owners of their land and will be allowed to carry on their business as per their requirement. After simplification, 30 lakh houses will be connected with roads, electricity and provided with schools, hospitals and anganwadi centres.
He also discussed how the areas lying on either side of the road will prosper after completion of Govindpur-Sahebganj road.
Das earlier today discussed about the foundation day programme with Soren and iterated his government’s commitment to protect the culture and tradition of the state.
