Free eye camp held at Jamshedpur Eye Hospital

Jamshedpur: A free eye check-up camp was organized by the Jamshedpur Eye Hospital, in association with the Urban Services, Tata Steel, at Navodaya Adivasi Primary School, Babudih Bustee, Agrico on Saturday.

The camp was inaugurated by Ruchi Narendran, president, Jamshedpur Eye Hospital.

As many as 205 local residents of the area attended the camp and their eye examination was done by Dr R B Singh and team from the Jamshedpur Eye Hospital.

Out of the total visitors, 30 patients were detected to have cataract. Among them, 92 patients were found to have defective vision correctable with glasses.

The remaining patients with minor medical eye problems were given necessary medical advice and were prescribed necessary medicines and eye drops.

The patients with eye problem needing further investigation, glasses or surgical treatment were advised to attend the Jamshedpur Eye Hospital for further treatment.
