Jamshedpur : Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Das and three others were today acquitted by a local court in connection with a case related to violation of poll code of conduct in 2009.

G K Tiwari, Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, acquitted them for lack of evidence soon after Das, along with Chandrasekhar Mishra, former president of district BJP, appeared before it here this morning.

Notably, Das who was a sitting MLA and was contesting for the Jamshedpur East assembly constituency from BJP had fixed party flags on a party officeat the premises of a temple in Sitaramdera .

Das was the BJP candidate from the Jamshedpur East constituency and as the Sidhgora area falls under his jurisdiction, the SDO Kartik Prabhat implicated him and the then district president of the party Chandrashekharin the case.
