Ranchi, April 25: Ramtahal Chaudhary, a five-time Member of Parliament from Ranchi, recently voiced his disappointment after not receiving a ticket from the Congress party. Having joined Congress just days ago with hopes of securing a ticket, Chaudhary expressed feeling cheated by the party.

In an interview, Chaudhary recounted his political journey, citing instances where he felt let down by his previous party, the BJP, and his subsequent independent candidacy in the 2019 elections. Despite staying unaffiliated for five years, pressure from his supporters led him to consider contesting from another constituency.

However, despite assurances from Congress six months prior, Chaudhary felt disillusioned after not receiving the expected ticket. He recounted conversations with party leaders, including a visit to Delhi where he was assured of his candidacy based on his experience and qualifications.

Expressing his disappointment, Chaudhary emphasized that he did not join Congress merely to carry the party flag, stating that his supporters were even more upset than he was about the ticket denial. Despite his initial reluctance to contest, Chaudhary’s decision to join Congress was influenced by the insistence of his supporters.
