Jamshedpur, April 26: Advocates of the Jamshedpur Bar Association have announced that they will not take up the case of suspected al Qaida terrorists Abdul Sami (32) and Abdul Rahman Katki (37), who were brought to steel city from New Delhi�s Tihar Central Jail on Monday night.
The decision was taken after the duo was produced in Jamshedpur court on Tuesday. Jamshedpur Bar Association members have also decided to boycott the advocates if they take up the suspected terrorists� case.
The district bar association members shouted patriotic slogans as both the suspected terrorist were produced before the court of CJM GK Tiwary. �Bharat Mata Ki Jai� echoed the court premises where advocates also shouted ant-terrorists slogans.
On the occasion Sankiv Ranjan Bariyar, joint secretary of District Bar Association, said, �As the case is associated with anti-national and we have decided not fight the case. The country always comes first and If any advocate shows interest of fighting the case in their (suspected terrorists) favor, the association will boycott and will stand against him/ her.�
�We have started making the advocates aware against the case and have appealed one and all not to fight the case as it is related to the anti-national behavior and is against our country,� said Vijay Shankar Pathak, member of the district bar association.
