CISF Inspector killed on spot in road accident in Jharkhand’s Gua

Gua, Nov 19: In a devastating crash at a sharp bend a Hul Haiwa truck loaded with iron ore rammed head on into a Bolero SUV coming from the opposite direction killing CISF Inspector Nagendra Prasad traveling in the car on the spot. The driver of the SUV received serious injuries and he was referred to a hospital in Rourkela. The cause of the accident as reported was poor visibility due to fog and mist. The accident occurred in the wee hours of Thursday.

According to reports, Inspector Nagendra Prasad was going to SAIL Crusher Point which is at an altitude of 70 feet on regular inspection. On the way, the Bolero he was traveling in collided head on with a Hul Haiwa loaded with iron ore weighing 100 metric tons in which the SUV was completely crushed leading to the death of the CISF Inspector on the spot. The driver of the Haiwa was arrested and cases lodged against five other SAIL workers. It took rescuers with gas cutters more than two hours to extricate the badly bruised body of CISF Inspector Nagendra Prasad. The Gua police rushed to the accident spot iommediately on receipt of information.

CISF inspector left behind his wife Supriya Devi, 14 year old son who Abhinav who is a class IX student at DAV Gua and 12 year old daughter Riddhi Tanvi who is in class VII of the same institution.
