Jamshedpur, Sept 15: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) congratulated the Jharkhand Government on figuring prominently in the list of Ease of Doing Business released by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry on 14 September 2015.
�Not only is this a recognition the mineral-rich Jharkhand richly deserves, but is also the reward for the State Government�s proactive and collaborative approach and dedicated work,� said Mr Tarun Daga, Chairman, CII Jharkhand State Council in a statement issued on Tuesday.
�It�s a tribute to the strong active leadership and its desire to make things better for businesses and society at large,� he added.
�We are particularly happy that CII played its part in this great success story. In our reckoning, the clinchers in the success story are Single “Sign On”, a wonderful one -window portal, and strong IT infrastructure for the execution of the portal. These are the things for which we have had several rounds of discussions with State Government and submitted inputs and recommendations,� Mr Daga said.
CII also recommended deemed approval for clearances in a time-bound manner, sector specific policies, provided policy inputs and organized many stakeholders meetings at the district level.
�We believe Jharkhand�s good showing in the DIPP ease of doing business index will go a long in creating a buzz among investors and boost their confidence in the State.
We will work even harder and more closely with the State Government in our collective endeavour to take the State to the next level of growth and development,� Mr Daga said.
