Jamshedpur, Sept 15: Jusco won the Best Practice Award for “Metering, Billing, Collections and Payments” organized by Indian Utility Knowledge and Networking Forum (IUKAN) held at New Delhi on September 8, 2015 at the 3rd Annual Conference of IUKAN.
Rajesh Bahadur, Dy Chief Manager (Billing), Jusco received the award. The award was given for “Combined Billing and Collection Process for Power, Water and Municipal Services in Jamshedpur”.
Last year also Jusco was conferred with the best practice award by IUKAN for Customer Service and Complaint Management in Water Management at New Delhi.
The 3rd Annual Conference of India Utility Knowledge and Networking (I-U-KAN) Forum took place at Le Meridien, Delhi on September 8, 2015 with a focused agenda on “Towards Building Smarter Utilities” through improved utility performance and enhanced customer experience.
The conference intends to focus and drive changes in the utilities delivering services in sectors of power, water, waste water, solid waste and urban mass transport.
Along with the conference this year, the IUKAN Forum continued it legacy of Utility Best Practice Awards aimed to recognize practical and innovative ways employed by utility operators, their business partners and stakeholders to drive improvements in systems and service delivery to end consumers. The Awards intended to bring a paradigm shift in the way a utility looks at its Grounds Team, which is the actual asset and wealth manager for the distribution utility.
Overall, 68 best practice nominations were received from utility service providers, public and private utilities. In total, 47 companies participated that include – leading public utilities like Vadodara Municipal Corporation, PGVCL, UGVCL, BWSSB; private utilities like BSES Rajdhani, BSES Yamuna, CESC Limited, NPCL, JUSCO, Enzen, Essel Smart Utilities, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd, Reliance Infrastructure Ltd; and Service providers like Secure Meters, YMPL, Wave Infratech, SMS Infra Ltd. and many others.
