Jamshedpur : In a tragic incident Father Kasmira who was seriously injured in a mishap at Sundernagar on the Tata-Hata Road on Sunday night, died at the Tata Main Hospital early this morning.
The 65-year-old priest had sustained serious injuries and had lost his senses as soon as he was hit by a speeding bus at Nildungri in Sundernagar. Though he was rushed to Tata Main Hospital but latter on succumb to injuries.
The mishap took place as the priest was crossing the road on the Tata-Hata state highway. The bus that hit the victim was coming from Kiriburu.
As the bus was at a considerable speed, the driver failed to control the speed at the sight of the priest crossing the road, and subsequently hit him.
The driver and the cleaner of the bus had fled the spot having stopped the bus at the scene of accident.
Officer-in-charge, K D Jha of the Sundernagar police station had rescued the injured father and rushed him to the hospital.
