Jamshedpur, Jan 16: Once again, MGM Hospital in Jamshedpur is in the eyes of a storm once again with the attribution of medical negligence by aggrieved relatives of a pregnant woman who was admitted to hospital on Monday morning. But the child died in the mother’s womb. The pregnant woman was admitted to MGM Hospital just a day before the incident.

Vimal Behta, leading a distressed family, met the MGM Hospital Superintendent, Rinku Alam, to address the issue. Superintendent Alam promptly ordered an investigation into the matter.

Rinku Alam explained that Farzana Parveen, a resident of Azadnagar Road No. 17 was admitted to MGM Hospital on Monday morning at 10:30 AM. The family members alleged that despite Farzana being on the floor since the morning, no doctor came to attend to her. It was only after a check-up at 3:30 PM that they discovered that the child had died in the womb.

Expressing concern over the alleged medical negligence, Vimal Behta and the family urged for immediate discharge of Farzana and demanded her relocation to another healthcare facility. The MGM Hospital Superintendent, Rinku Alam, has assured a thorough investigation into the matter.
