Chief Secretary stresses on real-time status of data entry

Ranchi, Jan 8: Chief Secretary R.S. Sharma today suggested devising a system of online mutation with applicants having an access to portal providing information, which can be verified later by the concerned officer.

This will save time and increase accuracy in data, he said and added that Collector should monitor the pending cases and a verification system should be in place through file tracker.

He was speaking at a meeting with officials of the Revenue Department at the Project Building.

Chief Secretary stressed on real-time status of data entry. He said that the Department must ensure that the Management Information System (MIS) should be based on real-time not on offline data entry.

Chief Secretary also raised the matter of data integrity and security concerns of the portal. He also said that Department should provide a public notice for confirmation of data entered in register-2.

Principal Secretary Revenue J.B. Tubid at the meeting presented the status of digitization of cadastral maps, Record of Rights (RoR) and about the quality checking status at the Survey Settlement Office. He said that online mutation process of six circles has been completed.
