DBMS crowned winner at ‘Kiddies Knowledge Hunt’

Jamshedpur, Jan 8: In an attempt to awaken the minds and kindle a thirst for knowledge in children DBMS English School hosted “Kiddies Knowledge Hunt” on Wednesday, 8th January, 2014 at their School Hall.

The Quiz was conducted by Mrs. Meera Nandwani and Mr. Kunal Venkat. Budding quizzers from 15 City cradles racked their brains in the preliminary round to get through to the final round.

The final round saw the participating of 5 schools: The qualifying schools were: Loyola School, S. D. S. M. School for Excellence, Valley View School, Gulmohur High School and D. B. M. S. English School.

Each school was represented by a five member team comprising students from LKG to Std. III. D. B. M. S. English School romped home as the winner with 60 points.

S. D. S. M. School for Excellence and Loyola School tied with 55 points and after the Tie Breaker S. D. S. M. School for Excellence was declared 2nd and Loyola School secured the 3rd position.

There were seven rounds – Nursery Rhymes, Cartoon, Guess who, Mixed Bag, Audio Visual, I know my English and Choice round.

Kiddies Knowledge Hunt aimed at fostering team spirit and enhancing the knowledge level of the little ones. It was a treat to watch the enthusiasm and fervour of the students as they pitted their wits against one another.
