Check dam to come up in Chakri

Jadugora: A check dam is going to be constructed over Ramgarh nullah and Naga nullah in Chakri panchayat of Potka under special Central government funds. The total estimated cost of the projects is Rs 50 lakh. This was announced on Tuesday by the MP of Jamshedpur Bidyut Baran Mahato while laying the foundation stone of the two projects along with the local MLA Menka Sardar.
The MP said the Central and state governments were running several projects to make farmers independent by providing them irrigation facilities. All government and private ponds are being renovated and new check dams and deep boring facilities are being constructed all over Jharkhand, he said.
Mahato said the government is also providing agricultural equipments and tractors to farmers at subsidised rates.
Among those present on the occasion included Sunil Mahato, Khelaram Besra, Madhusudan Nayak, Ravindra Sardar, Muchiram Sardar and Vinod Sardar.
