Ranchi: MP of Chatra Sunil Kumar Singh and MP of Aurangabad (Bihar), Sushil Kumar Singh met the chief minister at Project Bhavan.
The two MPs discussed inter-State Upper Koyal Irrigation Project. They said that installation of gates on Kudku Dam remained incomplete, for this further work is being hampered.
The MPs told the CM that clearance of the forest department is necessary for transfer of 6203 hectares of land for further construction of dam.
They urged Raghubar Das to expedite the matter as the project would irrigate a large tract of agricultural land besides generate hydro electricity.
The CM assured that all necessary action would be taken to the effect and for forest department clearance proposals would be sent to the Union Government.
