Ranchi: The last day of the winter session witnessed tumultuous scenes in the Legislative Assembly, marked by heated exchanges and uproar following a statement made by State BJP President and MLA, Babulal Marandi, to journalists regarding the Assembly Speaker.
The controversy escalated with the ruling party advocating for the filing of a breach of privilege case against the speaker, accusing him of making allegations outside the House. In response, the opposition vehemently opposed this proposition, leading to a chaotic situation.
BJP MLAs, expressing their discontent, entered the well of the House, raising slogans, while opposition MLA Pradeep Yadav demanded an apology and joined the uproar.
The intense squabbling and sloganeering between the ruling and opposition parties resulted in a deadlock, causing the Speaker to adjourn the proceedings of the House until 12:30.
The adjournment took place after just 19 minutes into the first session, highlighting the charged atmosphere within the Legislative Assembly on the final day of the winter session. The conflicting positions between the parties have further intensified the political dynamics in the state.
