Jamshedpur: District BJP spokesperson Ankit Anand Wednesday criticized the JMM for giving ticket to Champai Soren. He said Soren had threatened to stop Chhath devotees from celebrating the festival in his paternal village of Jhilinggora. He said the JMM had only hurt the sentiments of the people by making Soren its candidate for the Lok Sabha constituency of Jamshedpur.
Anand said the UPA leaders should think whether they had taken a wise step by fielding an anti-Bihari candidate from Jamshedpur. He said the BJP respects religions, castes and communities and will continue doing it.
