Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP president Dinesh Kumar Wednesday accused Jharkhand Mukti Morcha of neglecting Kurmis.
Reacting to the JMM�s decision to field Champai Soren from Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency, Kumar said the JMM had always ignored the larger interest of the Kurmi community.
�The JMM had promised to give ticket to Astik Mahato, a prominent leader of Kurmi community. It was only a few months back when Astik had come close to the JMM leaders. But sadly, the party has neglected his claim for ticket,� said Kumar.
The BJP leader further said that the JMM had also ignored the claim for ticket of Savita Mahato, wife of late Sudhir Mahato, former JMM leader, in the previous elections. He said the BJP MP candidate Bidyut Baran Mahato will win the upcoming elections with a margin of over three lakh votes.
