Chamber meets Industry officials, seeks motivation

Jamshedpur: A delegation of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry today met the state secretary for Industries Vandana Dadel and director of Industries Himani Pande at their office in Ranchi and discussed the problems of ancillaries of Tata Motors.

The delegation members said the apathetic attitude of the state government towards the ancillaries and other industrial units of Adityapur Industrial Area was leading to a dismal situation.

Such a situation is not good for the state’s future prospects since investors will be led away from the state despite abundance of its natural resources.

The Chamber members said the proposed transfer of several plants of major companies from Jharkhand to Pantnagar, uttarakhand will further lead to a crisis situation before the smaller companies.

The general secretary of the Chamber Shravan Kumar Kabra said, “We have requested the state government to provide impetus to the local industries and take measures to motivate the local industries. They should be given tax benefits like other states so that investors may also like to come here on seeing the growth of local industries,” he said.

Kabra said a meeting has been proposed to be held with Tata Motors on 19th December wherein various issues pertaining to the companies and ancillaries will be discussed.
