Jamshedpur, Sept 22: Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) election turned out be an
interesting affair as both the groups saw a close battle as the votes were counted at the Chamber Bhawan on Tuesday night.
Presidential race was tightened as early pace-setter Suresh Sonthalia was leading till the writing down of the news.
The Chamber was bustling with activities till late on Tuesday night as the candidates anxiously waited for the results.
Apart from some small incidents, the biennial elections of Kolhan’s oldest trade body, was held peacefully.
The election took place to appoint 10 new office-bearers (Vijay Anand Moonka elected unopposed) and 23 executive body members the results of which would be declared late in the night.
