Chaibasa, Oct 12: A meeting for the upcoming Durga Puja festival-2023 was convened in the presence Chakradharpur MLA Sukhram Oraon, Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, and Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar.
The meeting took place at the Vivah Bhavan auditorium of Chakradharpur Municipal Council in West Singhbhum district.
The meeting, attended by members of the Central Durga Puja Committee Chakradharpur and various other puja pandal committees, served as a platform for discussing several vital aspects. These included ensuring the city’s cleanliness during the Dussehra festival, road repairs, proper arrangements for the immersion procession, and many other critical points related to the festival’s smooth celebration.
Authorities present at the meeting extended their appeal to the city’s residents, urging them to celebrate the Durga Puja festival in a peaceful and harmonious manner, adhering to religious customs. Additionally, residents were encouraged to promptly report any disturbances to the peace or any untoward incidents to the administration.
Officials, including Podahat-Chakradharpur sub-divisional officer Reena Hansda, Assistant Collector Shruti Rajlakshmi, sub-divisional police officer Dilip Khalko, Chakradharpur zonal officer Girjanand Kisku and others were present at the meeting
