Chakradharpur: The First Divisional Rail Users’ Consultative Committee (DRUCC) Meeting for the term 16th August 2024 to 15th August 2026 was held at the DRM Meeting Hall, Chakradharpur, on 13th February 2025. The meeting, chaired by Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Tarun Huria, was attended by 10 DRUCC members.
DRM Tarun Huria welcomed the members and provided insights into the performance of the Chakradharpur Division in freight and passenger services. He also detailed the ongoing and upcoming passenger amenities projects under the division.
During the interactive session, DRUCC members raised key concerns, including train services, stoppages, cleanliness and the need for expediting railway projects. They also stressed the importance of improving passenger facilities.
A member commented, “We appreciate the efforts of the division but request faster implementation of passenger-centric developments, especially cleanliness and punctuality improvements.”
104th ZRUCC meeting to be held in Kolkata on Feb 25
The 104th Zonal Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (ZRUCC) Meeting will be conducted by South Eastern Railway (SER) on 25th February 2025, from 11:00 AM onwards at Kolkata. The meeting will be chaired by Mr. Pankaj Kumar Gupta, Deputy General Manager (G), SER, in the presence of the General Manager, Chief Public Relations Officer and other senior railway officials.
The meeting will be attended by Members of Parliament (Lok Sabha & Rajya Sabha), Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Passenger Associations, Trade Associations and ZRUCC members from West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand, which fall under the jurisdiction of SER.
An SER official stated, “This meeting is a crucial platform where key stakeholders can voice their concerns and propose improvements to railway services in the region.”
The agenda will include discussions on passenger amenities, infrastructure development, railway safety and service efficiency.
