Jamshedpur, Mar 26: The Chakradharpur Division of South Eastern Railway (SER) has achieved a significant milestone by recording an originating freight loading of 150 million tonnes (MT) in the financial year 2024-25 (from 1st April 2024 to 26th March 2025). This achievement highlights the division’s efficiency and commitment to freight transportation.
Among the key commodities transported, Iron Ore topped the list with 101.84 MT, followed by Coal (20.51 MT), Steel (13.44 MT) and Cement (12.58 MT). Additionally, the division facilitated the transportation of other essential goods such as food grains, fertilizers, petroleum products (POL) and containers.
The division also registered a 1.29% growth in revenue, generating an impressive Rs 13,030.16 crore from freight loading compared to the previous fiscal year.
