Jamshedpur, Mar 26: An agreement was reached in a tripartite meeting following protests over the death of Raju Mandal, an employee of Girish Chunachur Company. The company agreed to provide his wife with a monthly salary of Rs 16,000, fund their children’s education till 12th standard and offer Rs 1 lakh for last rites.

Raju Mandal, who had been working at the company for 12 years, fell ill and was being taken to TMH when he passed away on the way. The company officials initially refused to engage in discussions with AJSU Sakchi Mandal representatives Sonu Singh and Jitendra Yadav. However, a tripartite meeting was later conducted in the presence of Golmuri Police Station Incharge Rajan Singh, AJSU District President Kanhaiya Singh, Spokesperson Appu Tiwari and Sanatan Utsav Samiti Founder Chintu Singh.
Under the agreement, Rs 1 lakh was deposited in the bank account of Raju Mandal’s wife, Shanti Devi and all demands of the family were met. AJSU District President Kanhaiya Singh assured, “If any issue arises in the future, we will stand with the family and fight for their rights.”
