Chaibasa, Mar 9: Chaibasa MLA Deepak Birua today raised the issue of problem faced in B Ed admission by the students at the state assembly and demanded from the government that the merit list based on first interview should be used to allocate seats in different B Ed institutions in the state. The ML A said that students from rural areas especially tribals and poor are not able to pursue higher education due to the technical nitti-gritties of the department.
He also asked the government to simplify the admission process in B Ed through the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Examination Council.
The MLA said that several students are demoralised as they have not found their names in the merit list based on first interview. However, the department said that efforts has been made to ensure that merit of any students is not harmed during the admission process.
