Ichagarh MLA demands compensation for tusker menace

Jamshedpur, Mar 9: Ichagarh MLA Savita Mahato today raised the issue of elephants damaging crop and houses in the assembly constituency in Seraikela-Kharsawan district at state assembly. 
The MLA said that compensation for the affected villagers has not been paid since 2018 and elephants from Bengal are being allowed to enter by the adminstration of Bengal and stressed on the need for stopping entry of elephants from Bengal to the district. 
The government assured that crop and houses damaged compensation would be cleared for the villagers at the earliest and also directed for steps to prevent entry of elephants from Bengal.
