Chaibasa, May 16: Chaibasa journalist associated with News-11, Rajesh Pati died on Friday at 10:30 am while undergoing treatment at the RIMS Hospital in Ranchi. He was tested positive for COVID and had been admitted to RIMS for treatment. Singhbhum legislator Dipak Birua expressed shock over Pati’s untimely demise and said that the manner in which he upheld rural problems and pursued them until they were resolved was an outstanding trait the journalist possessed. Birua prayed for the peace of the journalist’s soul and sought strength for the bereaved family to bear the loss. As the news of Rajesh Pati’s demise filtered in a pall of gloom fell over the media fraternity of West Singhbhum. Former state Chief Minister Madhu Koda and Singhbhum parliamentarian Geeta Koda expressed their grief over Rajesh Pati’s death and described it as a personal loss as well as a void in positive reporting.
