Jamshedpur, March 6: East Singhbhum district administration has urged all citizens to cooperate with it in keeping peace during Holi and Shab-e-Baraat.
Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav has appealed citizens to celebrate the festivals with communal harmony and brotherhood. “People should respect the sentiments of others and abstain from forcefully smearing or throwing gulal and abir on anyone,” she said.

District administration has asked citizens not to carry any arms or weapons during the festival. People have also been requested to not post any provocative, misleading, fake and violent messages and videos on social media.

“Stringent action would be taken against individuals or group administrators under relevant penal sections,” said the DC. City police will be keeping an eye on tipplers during Holi. They will also be keeping tab on those playing songs in the public. Action will be taken against those playing indecent and offensive songs.
