Seraikela: Seraikela-Kharsawan district administration here on Monday prepared itself for the fair conduct of Matriculation Board and Intermediate exams going to begin on 8th March. The Matric exams would be held across 33 centres while Inter exams would be held on 14 centres. A total of 12,768 students would be taking the Matric Board exams while 7374 students would take the Inter exams.
In view of the exams, Seraikela-Kharsawan Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan convened a meeting to review preparations. He said sincere efforts should be made to ensure peaceful and fair exams at all centres in the district. He said stringent action would be taken against those resorting to unfair means during the exams. FIR would be lodged against such candidates, he said.
The DC said the district administration had put in place CCTVs at all exam centres to prevent malpractices by students. He said action would be taken against the invigilator and centre superintendent in case students are found involved in unfair practices.
Also present on the occasion was SP Chandan Kumar Sinha. He said police forces including women officers would be present at all exam centres. He said efforts should be made to ensure peaceful exam at all centres.
Many other district administration officials were present during the meeting.
