Jamshedpur: the central board of secondary Education (CBSE) has provided students preparing for the 2024 board exams with a sample paper for class 10th and 12th. While the eagerly awaited board exam date sheet is still pending, CBSE has issued a notice that addresses a significant concern for class 10th and 12th students—the subject-wise marks breakup for the board exams.
The notice from the CBSE Board arises from concerns that students have regarding the allocation of marks across different subjects in the upcoming board exams. It is an attempt to clarify doubts and streamline the examination process. The notice mentions that schools sometimes make errors when uploading the marks of practical, project, and internal assessments of students. In light of this, the board has released the subject-wise marks breakup to assist schools in conducting practical, project, internal assessment, and theory examinations.
The circular includes information such as the class, subject code, subject name, maximum marks for theory exams, maximum marks for practical exams, maximum marks for project assessments, and maximum marks for internal assessments. Additionally, it specifies whether an external examiner will be appointed for assessment, whether practical answer books will be provided, and whether any type of answer book will be used during the theory exams.
