New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class 12 results on Wednesday afternoon, revealing an overall pass percentage of 85.20%. While over 15 lakh students successfully cleared the examinations, the board recorded a 3.19 percentage point decline from last year’s pass rate of 88.39%.
Performance Statistics and Regional Rankings
This year, 17,80,365 students registered for the exams, and 17,68,968 ultimately appeared. Out of these, 15,07,109 students qualified for higher education.
The 2026 results highlight significant demographic and regional trends:
- Gender Gap: Girls continued their streak of excellence, outperforming boys by 6.73 percentage points.
- Top Performing Region: Trivandrum secured the highest pass percentage in the country at 95.62%.
- Lowest Performing Region: Prayagraj recorded the lowest pass percentage at 72.43%.

Students can now download their digital marksheets through various official portals and mobile applications. To access the results, candidates must enter their roll number, school number, admit card ID, and date of birth.

Examination Timeline
