Ranchi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has revoked the recognition of 17 schools in Jharkhand, citing non-compliance with CBSE bylaws and various other infrastructural deficiencies. Bokaro district is notably the most affected, with nine schools facing cancellation of recognition, followed by two in Ranchi.

The list of schools, whose recognition has been canceled, is available on the official CBSE website, and parents are strongly advised to refrain from enrolling their children in these institutions. The reasons for the cancellation span a range of issues, including inadequate infrastructure, absence of labs and libraries, improper class sizes, subpar quality of education, and a lack of provisions for extracurricular activities.
