CBI takes businessman Amit Agarwal on five-day remand in Cash Scandal Case

Ranchi: Advocate Rajiv Kumar, accused in the cash scandal case, has been taken into five-day remand by the CBI Delhi team. The team, which reached Birsa Munda Central Jail in Hotwar, Ranchi at 1:30 pm on Thursday afternoon, departed with businessman Amit Agarwal, currently detained in a land scam case.
The arrest of High Court advocate Tarajiv Kumar in Kolkata, found in possession of Rs 50 lakh in cash, led to the revelation of his involvement with Amit Agarwal. Amit Agarwal, as part of a conspiracy, reportedly lured Rajeev Kumar from Koranchi to Kolkata, resulting in Kumar’s subsequent arrest.
In response to the unfolding developments, the Delhi CBI team registered an FIR against several West Bengal police officers, including Amit Agarwal. The CBI deemed it necessary to interrogateAmit Agarwal in connection with the cash case involving Rajeev Kumar. Subsequently, an application for remand was filed in the special CBI court, which granted the CBI permission to take businessman Amit Agarwal into custody for five days. The remand aims to facilitate a comprehensive investigation into the cash scandal case and related allegations.
