Career Fair at Baldwin Farm Area High School Jamshedpur inspires students

Jamshedpur: A grand career fair was organized on Saturday, at Baldwin Farm Area High School, Kadma, Jamshedpur, where students from various schools enthusiastically participated. The main objective of the fair was to introduce students to emerging career opportunities and guide them toward making informed decisions for their future.

The event was inaugurated by the school principal, Dr. Subhoshree Sikar, along with invited guests, by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Notable guests present on the occasion included National Award recipient and Director of Education, Dr. Ashok Singh; Administrator  Sachin Kumar; Speaker  Ritesh Vishal; School Secretary  Prabhas Kumar; and Director of the National Academy, Dr. Ravindra Mohini Sinha. Principals, teachers, and parents from various schools were also in attendance.

More than 25 universities and institutions set up stalls at the fair. Experts from diverse fields provided valuable information about careers in engineering, medicine, commerce, and other emerging sectors. They guided students on how to choose the right career path based on their interests and abilities and discussed the educational qualifications and skills required to achieve success in different professions.

The students showed remarkable enthusiasm, particularly those from classes 9 to 12, who were keen to explore career options suited to their aptitudes. Many students expressed that the fair proved extremely beneficial as it helped them gain clarity about their future academic and professional goals.

Career counseling sessions were also held, where psychological experts offered guidance on stress management, time management, and decision-making. They emphasized that career choices should not be based on social expectations or family pressure but should align with one’s interests and capabilities.

In her concluding remarks, Principal Dr. Subhoshree Sikar stated that the school’s mission is not only academic excellence but also to nurture responsible and self-reliant individuals. She thanked the guests, teachers, and students for their active participation and contribution to making the career fair a success.

Teachers, parents, and students jointly appreciated the initiative and suggested that such fairs should be organized regularly to help students make informed decisions about their future paths.
