Jamshedpur, May 5: A speeding car lost control near G Town Club on O Road, Bistupur, and collided with a woman riding a scooter before crashing into a nearby quarter on Sunday morning. The scooter rider sustained injuries, and the quarter’s wall was damaged in the accident.
Local residents apprehended the car driver following the incident and rushed the injured woman to TMH for medical treatment. Bistupur police, upon receiving the report, arrived at the scene, apprehended the driver, and took him to the police station. Both, the car and scooter have been seized as part of the investigation.
Reportedly, the car was traveling towards G Town Ground via O Road, while the woman on the scooter was headed towards O Road via G Town Ground. The collision occurred when the car veered out of control, striking the scooter rider and crashing into the roadside quarter.
The police are currently conducting an investigation into the matter.
