Capacity building programme for DAV teachers

DAV Bistupur hosts three-day workshop

Jamshedpur: The DAV CMC (college management committee), New Delhi kicked off a three day workshop on capacity building programme of in service teachers at DAV Public School Bistupur. About 100 teachers from eight DAV schools in Chaibasa, Baharagora, Daltonganj, Lohardaga, Chiria, Chatra and Barhi are participating in this workshop.

The programmeis being held for In-service Teachers teaching classes Nursery to X for English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Maths, Science, Computer Science and Social Science. The workshop was inaugurated today with principal of the host school Pragya Singh and other principals who were present on the occasion.

The three day workshop will touch subjects like English where teachers will learn about phonetics, e-lesson plans. In Hindi, teachers will learn about class management and creative writing; social science will deal with importance of child safety and security in school while mathematics will indulge in minimal level of learning, competency to be able to master concepts.

Principal of DAV BistupurPragya Singh in her welcome address elucidated that these training sessions encourage brotherhood. These sessions provide a platform to the teachers so as to make them learn better and deliver better because as leaders of classrooms teachers shoulder difficult tasks.

DAVPS, Bistupur is the Regional Training Centre under DAV CAR with Principal, DAV PS, Bistupur as Regional Training Coordinator and has been successfully conducting Teachers� Training programmes consecutively for the third year. The workshops is being conducted by the teachers trained as Master Trainers in various subjects like English, Hindi, Social Science, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Science and Computer Science.

To strengthen the edifice of the temple of learning, DAV has initiated Capacity Building programme for teachers to ensure professional excellence. As one of the most demanding professions which runs on a parallel tracks of effectiveness and excellence, it is imperative that teachers are constantly improving and strengthening the base of education.

An effective programme of teachers training as devised by DAVCMC, seeks to help teachers keep abreast with not just the latest innovation in pedgogy but also make sample papers, create a core group to focus on academic enrichment, analyze student performance and work upon better reminded and diagnostic strategies to enhance performance of the students.

To create a transparent and clean assessment blueprint to enable not just the students but to help teachers figure out the level of achievement of the learning objectives planned. It seeks to provide concrete feedback and provide insights into improving their own abilities.

The professional development programme based on the pillar of research and development involved  master trainers and teachers mentors whoi are constantly updated and further this knowledge among the teaching group.
