Jamshedpur: MLA Menka Sardar who was the chief guest at a meeting of Ajivika Gram Sangathan (AGS) in Tiring village under Potka Block, said in reply to a pointers that a community building would be constructed on a site selected by the villagers through a Gram Sabha.
AGS members stated in the meeting chaired by Anita Sardar, that the women of the organization had joined the Ajivika Mission and working towards self dependence as a result of which they were getting the benefits of several government schemes.
They informed that through the Ajivika Mission scheme, AGS had received giant arum and chilli seeds for cultivation along with a trunk and almirah. But lack of office space is creating problems in keeping these items. Holding meetings without any specific place were also difficult. The members also pointed out that Tiring villagers were also facing water problems.
In her address to the AGS members, Potka legislator and chief guest Menka Sardar assured that a community building would be constructed in Tiring village. �Hold a Gram Sabha and decided on a site. The community building will be constructed there. As for the water problems, a deep boring pump will be installed which will work on solar power,� she said.
Those present at the meeting included Panchayat Samiti member Urmila Samad, village chief Manju Sardar, Shailen Sardar, Purna Chandra Sardar, Anita Sardar, Reshmi Mukhi, Sulochana Sardar, Kamlawati Sardar, Chandni Sardar, Basanti Sardar and others.
