Canopy walkway to enhance thrill of Dalma adventure in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: The Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is set to offer new attractions, enhancing adventure tourism in the region. The upcoming canopy walk, expected to launch by the end of this month, will provide visitors with a thrilling experience. The canopy walk features a bridge elevated at 15 feet to connect two points, allowing enthusiasts to traverse the expanse for approximately Rs 250.

This adventure infrastructure, costing around Rs 40 lakh, is part of efforts to promote tourism in Dalma. Birdwatching will be a highlight as visitors can observe avian species from the vantage point of the wooden bridge. Additionally, the canopy walk will cater to adventure sports enthusiasts, offering a unique perspective of the sanctuary’s natural beauty.

Funded by the government, this facility prioritizes safety, allowing only five to six people to climb at a time. The DFO Dr. Abhishek Kumar emphasized that the initiative aims to enhance tourism footfall, offering both environmental conservation and recreational opportunities. This venture marks a pioneering effort in Jharkhand, aligning with similar successful facilities in various regions, including Karnataka
