Campus abuzz as Kolhan University transforms for 6th convocation on November 26

Jamshedpur: Kolhan University is witnessing one of its most vibrant and activity-packed weeks as preparations for the much-awaited sixth convocation reach their peak. The entire campus has turned into a hub of coordinated action, last-minute fine-tuning and enthusiastic participation from all departments to ensure that the grand academic event on November 26 becomes one of the most memorable ceremonies in the university’s history.

A marathon review meeting was held today under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anjila Gupta, who went through every detail point-by-point with the conveners of subcommittees and university officials. She informed that the Chief Guest, Chancellors of all universities and the Governor will arrive at the Convocation Hall at 10:00 am. Entry into the hall will be strictly regulated through passes to maintain order and security.

Prof. Gupta reviewed the seating layout, academic procession route, the exclusive robe-wearing area for the Chief Guest and the large-scale parking arrangements being readied for arriving dignitaries. The Examination Department reported that the signing of all certificates has been successfully completed, paving the way for medal and certificate distribution during the ceremony.

The Vice Chancellor expressed satisfaction with the fast-paced preparations and urged all committees to keep up the momentum, use the remaining time wisely and complete pending work promptly. Updates were also taken from the media cell regarding the press conference scheduled for November 23.

Adding to the buzz, the campus saw heightened activity around invitation card distribution and the finalisation of the convocation souvenir. The invitation committee, led by the Deputy Registrar, worked throughout the day to hand over invitation cards and passes to dignitaries, guests and faculty members. Simultaneously, DSW Dr. Sanjay Yadav, Dr. Naresh Kumar and members of the souvenir committee worked tirelessly to complete the university souvenir. By late evening, the fully edited manuscript was handed over to the press for printing. The souvenir features congratulatory messages received from various dignitaries, along with messages from affiliated colleges and a compilation of Kolhan University’s past achievements.

In another busy corner of the campus, the Examination Department continued arranging certificates and medals, ensuring precision and readiness for the big day. The Vice Chancellor also held a meeting with the core group and reviewed progress across departments, issuing instructions for the final phase of preparations.

With rapid developments, constant movement of staff, and back-to-back coordination meetings, Kolhan University currently resembles a buzzing cultural and academic festival. As the campus gears up for November 26, excitement is building, and the university is poised to host one of its most happening and prestigious convocation ceremonies to date.
