Right to Service Week camp organised in Jugsalai, 720 residents benefit from government welfare services

Jamshedpur: As part of the State Government’s directives, “Right to Service Week” is being observed across the Jugsalai Municipal Council area from November 21 to 28 under the Jharkhand State Service Guarantee Act, 2011. In this sequence, a special public service camp was organized on Monday at the Jugsalai Municipal Council Marriage Hall on R.P. Patel School Road.

The camp was formally inaugurated by Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi, who lit the ceremonial lamp. He was welcomed by Jugsalai Municipal Council officials with a bouquet of flowers.

A total of 720 residents from Jugsalai attended the camp, which offered on-the-spot facilities and application services for a wide range of state and central government schemes. Dedicated counters were set up for schemes including Deen Dayal Jan Aajeevika Yojana–Urban, Chief Minister’s Shramik Yojana, PM SVANidhi for street vendors, SHG loan assistance, and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).

The Health Department conducted general health check-ups and facilitated the issuing of Aabha Cards. The Women and Child Development counters assisted beneficiaries with Matri Bandhana Yojana and Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana. Social Security counters accepted applications for Maiya Samman Yojana, widow pension, old age pension and disability pension.

Food Supply Department representatives collected applications for Green Cards and handled corrections in ration cards. Services related to electricity—new connections and repairs—were also provided. Additional counters accepted requests for sanitation issues, street light repairs, trade licences, holdings, water connections, and birth and death certificates.

By the end of the event, approximately 511 applications had been received across various departments.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Mangal Kalindi urged residents to take full advantage of welfare schemes and assured that the government is committed to delivering timely services. He also distributed assets to selected beneficiaries during the programme.

District Transport Officer Dhananjay Kumar, Executive Officer Sandeep Paswan, City Manager Rajendra Kumar, City Mission Manager Glenish Minj, Junior Engineers Tanuj Jain, Shakeel Ahmed Ansari and Ajit Kumar, Community Organizer Pushpa Tirkey, Gyaneshwar Prasad, along with officials from various departments and other dignitaries were present.
