Jamshedpur, October 12: Cafe Coffee Day located on Bistupur Main Road was sealed on Thursday following the court order.
In this regard, Ketan Adesara of Bhuvaneshwari Estate Private Limited had filed a money recovery suit against Amalgamated Bean Coffee Trading Company Limited, which runs Cafe Coffee Day.
Regarding the matter, advocate Anshuman Chaudhary, on behalf of Bhuvaneshwari Estate Private Limited, said that the rent of the shop had not been paid by Amalgamated for five years. The total rent in these five years had become Rs 5.54 lakh.
Due to non-payment of rent, a money recovery suit was filed in the court. On September 26, an order was issued in the case in which it was ordered to confiscate all the assets of the shop. Following this order on Thursday, Cafe Coffee Day was sealed in the presence of Court official Dheeraj Kumar Srivastava.
