Burglary in Jamshedpur: Cash, gold and silver worth lakhs stolen

Jamshedpur : A major burglary took place at the residence of Rishabh Kumar Singh, located in Lohar Line under Golmuri police station area, on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 2 pm when Singh had gone to attend Vishwakarma Puja at his nearby workshop.

On returning home, he found the main lock broken and cupboards left open, with the entire house ransacked.

According to reports, the burglars fled with around ₹2 lakh in cash, 35 grams of gold, and 1.5 Kg of silver.

They also took away Singh’s Aadhaar card, PAN card, and vehicle ownership documents.

Singh immediately informed Golmuri police, who rushed to the spot and began investigation.

Evidence was collected from the house, and CCTV footage from the nearby area is being scanned to trace the culprits.

The police station in-charge stated that the burglary was carried out in a highly organized manner.

A special investigation team has been formed on the directive of the Superintendent of Police to nab the criminals at the earliest.

Locals revealed that the area has witnessed theft incidents in the past, but this time the scale of the burglary was much larger.

Residents have urged police for prompt action and stricter patrolling in the locality.
