Ranchi: The budget session of Jharkhand Assembly started on Wednesday with the Opposition leaders raising hullaballoo during the speech of the governor Dr Syed Ahmad at the inaugural session.
The governor, addressing the house, said there should not be any place for such anarchist behavior in democracy. He said the members of the house should behave as per Constitutional norms and dignity. He said a very high standard of behavior was expected of the members in the house where they were sent by the people.
Further in his address, the governor said there were immense possibilities for the development and growth of the state. He said the state government was putting in efforts to ensure that these ends are achieved. He said the people would be keeping an eye on the efforts and achievements of the government.
The governor also mentioned some of the achievements of the state government led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren during his speech.
Earlier, addressing the house, the Speaker of the Assembly Shashank Shekhar Bhokta said the Parliamentary form of democracy was undergoing tough times. He said there was need for introspection by all elected members of the Assembly as they were expected to behave with dignity in a responsible manner by the people who elect them.
