Jamshedpur, July 23: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato has hailed Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s 2024 Union Budget as a comprehensive plan for India’s future development. Mahato described it as a balanced approach laying the foundation for a developed India by 2047.
“Key highlights include initiatives for employment generation, advanced farming techniques, increased women’s participation in the workforce, and support for domestic industries, particularly MSMEs. The budget also focuses on self-employment opportunities through advanced youth training programs,” Mahato stated.
He emphasized the plan to develop infrastructure in tribal villages, potentially benefiting five crore tribal youth. Mahato also noted the reintroduction of the Vivaad se Vishwas scheme, expected to reduce tax-related disputes.
The MP highlighted the budget’s attention to middle-class families, youth, and farmers, with special focus on tribal and poor welfare. He mentioned the “Purvodaya” scheme set to benefit eastern states including Jharkhand.
Mahato praised housing initiatives targeting 3 crore houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and the fourth phase of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana for rural connectivity.
Concluding, Mahato viewed this budget as a balanced approach, reflecting the government’s vision for comprehensive national development and setting the stage for India’s economic growth towards 2047.
