BSF jawan Himanshu Sah cremated with state honours

Jamshedpur: Himanshu Sah, the Border Security Force (BSF) jawan who died on duty in Jammu and Kashmir, was cremated with state honours at Swarnarekha Ghat crematorium in Bhuiyadih on Saturday. A large number of people paid tributes to the BSF jawan on the occasion.

The martyr�s body was brought from Tata Main Hospital to his Bagun Nagar residence around 9 am. A huge crowd comprising family members, well-wishers, former soldiers, BSF jawans and other dignitaries accompanied the last procession of the jawan.

Members of Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad raised slogans of �Bharat Mata Ki Jai� and �Vande Mataram� throughout the funeral procession.

Himanshu Sah died reportedly after developing severe chest complications. He was posted at Khenkaran near Jammu and Kashmir border.

Due to severe cold, his lungs were filled with water which also led to infection, sources said. He was taken to BSF Hospital from where he was sent to Army Hospital.

During treatment, Sah passed away. His body had arrived in the city on Friday last.
