Brutal double murder shakes Buxar: Mother and five-year-old daughter slain in cold blood

Buxar, Nov 18: A chilling incident has gripped the town of Buxar as the lifeless bodies of a mother and her five-year-old daughter were discovered, throats slit mercilessly by unknown assailants. The horrifying crime took place in Balapur village, within the jurisdiction of the Industrial Police Station, sending shockwaves through the community.

The victims, identified as 35-year-old Anita Devi and her young daughter, were sleeping peacefully alongside their family on Friday night. A family member, who woke up late in the night, witnessed a figure hastily escaping over the boundary wall. Disturbingly, instead of raising an alarm, the family member chose not to wake others and returned to their room.

The grim reality unfolded the next morning when the family awoke to a gruesome scene—the lifeless bodies of Anita Devi and her daughter, bathed in blood. Promptly informed, SP Manish Kumar and Sadar SDPO Dheeraj Kumar, along with their team, reached the crime scene to initiate an investigation.
SP Manish Kumar revealed that a slipper was recovered from the site, indicating a potential lead.

The authorities are meticulously examining the evidence, with the assistance of a dog squad and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team. Preliminary findings suggest a targeted attack, raising suspicions that the perpetrator entered the residence with the explicit intention of ending the lives of the mother and daughter.
